Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani honouring the graduating class of Qatar University every year is a powerful affirmation of Qatar’s steadfast commitment to human development, a cornerstone of the Qatar National Vision 2030.
This moment is not merely ceremonial — it is a clear message that the nation’s greatest asset lies in its people.
Qatar has consistently prioritised education as a catalyst for national growth. From establishing world-class institutions like Qatar Foundation and Education City to continuous investments in public and higher education, the country has forged a future where learning is central to progress.
These priorities reflect Qatar’s determination to equip its youth with the tools to innovate, lead, and contribute meaningfully to society.
H H the Amir also graced the Qatar University’s 2025 graduation ceremony yesterday, where he honored 153 outstanding graduates in all disciplines, while University President Dr. Omar bin Mohammed Al Ansari handed certificates to 670 graduates.
The state has also consistently invested heavily in the education and health sectors.
Under state’s general budget for the year 2025, Qatar is spending QR19.4bn for education and another QR22bn for the health sector.
These investments are yielding results. Qatar’s young entrepreneurs, researchers, and professionals are increasingly shaping discourse across sectors, from sustainability to AI. Their voices are present on global stages, a testament to a nation that believes in the potential of its youth.
In a region undergoing dynamic transformation, Qatar’s vision for a knowledge-based economy relies heavily on its youth—educated, empowered, and inspired. These graduates represent more than academic achievement; they embody the nation’s aspirations.
As the country advances toward 2030 and beyond, its unwavering investment in education remains central. Graduation is not the end of a journey but the beginning of their contribution to Qatar’s future. And with the continued support of Qatar’s wise leadership, that future grows ever brighter.
