Ooredoo is constantly looking for ways to improve the experience they offer to its customers — be it for household consumers or business clients. The approach is visible in all its endeavours as a community-focused company. Whether it is for new technologies, or for new partnerships, the company is always at the forefront of innovation and services.
Ooredoo made the country proud again when it was the first in the world to launch a live, commercially available 5G network and conducted the first international 5G call in the region a few weeks back. Once 5G capable mobile devices are available in the market, Ooredoo will be again the first-in-the-world to make them available for immediate use, as the networks are well ahead with readiness.
Recetly, Ooredoo has announced the launch of its new “Home Internet” plans, an impressive new line-up of ultra-fast Home Broadband offerings catering for all households, which will make home internet speeds up to five times faster at no extra charge. This is part of the Ooredoo’s continued commitment to and investment in the country’s nationwide fiber infrastructure, which will continue to deliver for the future outstanding world class unlimited broadband to homes in Qatar at speeds of up to 10Gbps, together with the best in class TV entertainment.
Ooredoo Supernet, which offers speeds of up to 10Gbps is something only a few countries around the world are offering. Qatar’s leading communications behemoth says the free and automatic upgrade to the new plans at no additional cost is an expression of Ooredoo’s gratitude and appreciation and as a reward for their loyalty.
And at the Mobile World Congress 2019, Ooredoo announced a partnership with global technology company KaiOS Technologies to drive Qatar’s business growth and enhance digital experiences for 500,000 feature phone users. This is as part of its plans to provide essential smartphone features at affordable prices, under QR100 each.
The list of Ooredoo’s partnerships and innovations is never-ending. It has launched a new Internet of Things (IoT) platform, IoT Builder, to drive innovations in smart nationwide transformation. The IoT Builder solution enables Ooredooo to develop applications and to integrate connected devices for its business customers.
Ooredoo along with Dell EMC, the world’s leading provider of cloud infrastructure and innovative business solutions, launched a smart stadium demo to transform mega-events around the world. The technology titans have developed smart stadium technology that aims to maximise the safety and security of athletes and coaches, fans, media, and organisers at Qatar’s soccer tournament in 2022 and additional mega-events worldwide.
Ooredoo’s customers can also now benefit from Atos’ industry leading experiences and solutions in Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Cloud Transformation and also cybersecurity services. Atos’ solutions cover Big Data, security, infrastructure and data management, business and platform solutions, unified communication and collaboration, and digital payments.
