Qatar Airways is on a winning streak. This is a year of accolades for Qatar Airways. After winning several awards for the last few years, the national carrier of Qatar added another one to its string of awards. The recent announcements of the airline clinching the ‘Best Inflight Service’ Award at the 29th Annual TTG Travel Awards 2018 and winning the ‘Best Middle Eastern/African Airline’ for the ninth consecutive year at the recent 2018 Business Traveler Asia-Pacific Awards, are examples of this undefeated glory.

Most of these independent awards are decided based on votes cast by travel consultants, tour operators, destination management companies, global market research leaders and above all, from the frequent flyers across the globe.

As travellers of Qatar Airways, we all have experienced the best services and products on-board and it has also proved well beyond doubt that its consistency and the reliability is one of the best in the aviation world.
Qatar Airways has also recognised again as a TTG Travel Hall of Fame honorary member after having been named ‘Best Middle Eastern’ airline 10 consecutive times.

TripAdvisor crowned Qatar Airways as the ‘World’s Best Business Class’, ‘Best Business Class Seat: Middle East’, World’s Top 10 Airline and ‘Best Overall Airline: Middle East’ earlier this year.

These awards add to a year of continued success for Qatar Airways, which was named ‘World’s Best Business Class’ by the 2018 World Airline Awards, from Skytrax. It was also named ‘Best Business Class Seat,’ ‘Best Airline in the Middle East,’ and ‘World’s Best First Class Airline Lounge’, among others.

Not only in getting awards, Qatar Airways is also far ahead of its competitors in tehnological advancements or upgradations. Recently, Qatar Airways has adopted the virtual reality into aviation ground operations training, as IATA’s global launch partner of RampVR. The system pioneered by IATA utilises the latest virtual-reality technology to simulate real airside conditions for ground handling and ground service operator training.

The national carrier has also added several destinations to its existing ones this year as part of its major expansion plans. Qatar Airways has also announced that it has upgraded five of its current order of A350-900s to the higher-capacity A350-1000s. The airline has already taken delivery of 30 A350 aircraft (27 A350-900s and three A350-1000s) from the total order of 76 A350 XWBs.

The airlines always maintained standards of excellence. As it claims, these accolades attest to Qatar Airways’ passenger-focused strategy which continues to provide the highest level of satisfaction to customers.

Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Akbar Al Baker, rightly said: “We are extremely pleased to have won these awards, which bear testament to our commitment to excellence and delivering an exceptional experience to our passengers. It is this customer-first approach that drives our business forward year on year.”
