Six farms and local companies are participating in the flower exhibition which opened on Thursday at Al Khor and Al Dakhira yards and will conclude today.
The event is organized by the Agriculture Affairs Department at the Ministry of Municipality and Environment and is the second exhibition since the beginning of this season.
Yousef Al Khulaifi, the director of Agricultural Affairs Department at the Ministry, and Abdul Rahman Al Sulaiti, General Supervisor of Yards, attended the opening.
“The ministry endeavours to attract more people to the yards and to promote local products like flowers, honey, among others”, Al Khulaifi said.
“In the first flower exhibition, we sold 20,000 flowers and we hope to sell more in this exhibition,” he added.
The exhibition is gaining in popularity every year.
