Doha: KPMG in Qatar yesterday announced the appointment of Craig Richardson (pictured left) as partner, Head of Tax, and Andreas Philippou (pictured right) as Audit partner.
KPMG in Qatar Managing Partner, Jamal Fakhro said that the appointments reflect KPMG’s optimism for the future and its drive to meet the growing needs and expectations of its clients.
“Craig and Andreas are important appointments for our expanding tax and audit services teams,” said Fakhro.
Richardson has joined from KPMG Ukraine. He has worked in Moscow, South Africa and China. Richardson is a qualified Chartered Accountant and a member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants and the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia. He holds a higher diploma in Tax Law as well as International Law and a certificate in Mining Taxation.
Philippou is a fellow Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. Mr Philippou qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2000 with PwC and worked in PwC Cyprus’ audit department until 2009. He then moved to Baker Tilly Cyprus as an audit and risk management partner until the joining KPMG in Qatar in October 2013.
