Doha: The Protection and Social Rehabilitation Center “AMAN”, a centre governed by the Qatar Foundation for Social Work, concluded a week-long awareness campaign for the hotline (919).
The campaign seeks to disseminate awareness and education that promote the protection and social rehabilitation to reduce domestic violence and reintegrate the affected victims within society through informing about any violence against the targeted categories, and offering needed protection via specialized and highly professional cadres who can accurately monitor initial diagnostic indicators and statistics as well as documenting required data and answering inquiries.
The campaign witnessed interaction from various segments of society, including children, women and parents, especially through the induction corner that was provided to introduce the services provided by the / AMAN Centre, whether through the hotline (919), or through electronic applications for the protection of women and children, such as: the “Help me” application for children and Shawrini application for women, in addition to the public’s interaction with the initiative of the AMAN Centre “My Book is My Friend”, which is a device for selling books for children.
In this regard, Director of the Communication and Information Office at AMAN Centre Hanan Al Ali expressed AMAN’s keenness to activate the principle of community partnership with the various authorities in the country with the aim of protecting community members from any violence they may be exposed to, and strengthening family cohesion to create a safe environment.
