ISLAMABAD: One Pakistani soldier was killed, and two others critically wounded in Saturday morning in an armed attack in northwestern Pakistan.
Military sources said that gunmen attacked a security check post at Bajaur province, north-west of the country on the border with Afghanistan, killing one soldier and seriously wounding two others.
The sources pointed out that Pakistan's armed forces retaliated using helicopter gunships managed to kill fourteen of the gunmen.
Earlier this month, a Pakistani soldier had been killed in the same province. (QNA)
