Tunis: Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani attended the opening session of the 30th Summit of the Council of the Arab League, which was held this morning at the Conference Palace in Tunis, along with leaders of Arab countries.
The session was attended by members of the official delegation accompanying the Amir and heads of delegations participating in the Summit.
A number of leaders from regional and international organizations, and press and media associates also attended the session.
Amir left Tunis in the afternoon after attending the opening session.
Amir and the accompanying delegation were seen off on departure at Tunis-Carthage International Airport by Adviser to the President of Tunisia Habib Essid.
Amir sent a cable to President of Tunisia Beji Caid Essebsi, expressing deep thanks and appreciation for the hospitality and honor accorded to him and the accompanying delegation during the visit to attend 30th Summit of the Council of the Arab League. Amir hoped that its results would contribute to supporting and promoting joint Arab action for the benefit of the Arab people. Amir wished the President health and happiness and to the Tunisian people further progress and prosperity.
