Doha: Ooredoo yesterday announced that its International Top-Up (ITU) service is available for Shahry customers, enabling all Ooredoo users to transfer airtime internationally via their phones.
The ITU service, first launched in 2010, allows Hala customers to use their mobile phones to send talk time to 20 popular destinations around the world, including India, Nepal, Egypt, Bangladesh, the Philippines, Sri Lanka and Pakistan.
With the new update, Ooredoo’s post-paid Shahry customers can also stay in touch with loved ones abroad by sending credit directly to any international phone number.
Shahry users have to activate the ITU service by calling 111, send an SMS to 92266 with their selected recipient mobile phone number (including the international dial code) and choose amount in Qatari riyal to send.
Hala customers will have the amount deducted directly from their account balance.
Shahry customers will see the transfer amount and fee deducted from their Shahry credit limit and transaction details will show on their monthly bill. For details on international offers and promotions visit www.Ooredoo.qa or pop into an Ooredoo shop.
