The Sri Lankan community members during the blood donation drive.
Doha: A blood donation campaign was successfully carried out by the Sri Lankan Community Welfare Federation Qatar (CWF-Qatar) and AD 27 Toastmasters Club (International). One hundred and fifty-five individuals participated in the drive including the Federation of Sri Lankan Muslim Associations Qatar (FSMA-Q) President, Mohamed Rinoz, Toasmaster Club Division and Area Heads, and media members. The heads also delivered short speeches saying that blood donation is a noble work.
A team of 10 doctors and nurses from Hamad Medical Blood Donation Unit facilitated the campaign from 8am to 5pm on the occasion of Qatar National Day. As a token of appreciation, Hamad Medical Corporation Blood Donor Center distributed certificates to the said organisations.
