LONDON - London Irish lock Daniel Leo and London Welsh centre Tom May have been given one-week suspensions after brawling during a Premiership match, the Rugby Football Union (RFU) announced on Tuesday.
Leo and May were sent off for hitting each other during last Friday's game at the Madejski Stadium, which London Irish won 24-9. Both players pleaded guilty to the charges against them.
Leo and May, who were sent off in the Aviva Premiership match between London Irish and London Welsh for striking each other, contrary to Law 10.4(a), are banned from today (Tuesday) until January 5, 2015, said an RFU statement.
Newcastle Falcons forward Kane Thompson was also suspended for a week after being cited for striking Saracens' Jim Hamilton.
