Doha: Deputy Speaker of the Shura Council H E Dr. Hamda bint Hassan Al Sulaiti met yesterday with Deputy Chairman of Majlis A’Shura of Oman H E Said bin Hamad A Saadi.
She also met with Member of the House of Representatives of Yemen and President of the League of Parliamentarians for Al Quds H E Hamid bin Abdullah Al Ahmar, Member of the People’s Representative Council of Indonesia and Vice-Chairman of the Global Organization of Parliamentarians Against Corruption (GOPAC) H E Dr. Fadli Zon, and Member of the Chamber of Deputies of Romania and President of the Qatar-Romanian Friendship Group in the Romanian Parliament H E Mirela Furtuna, who are currently visiting the country.
A number of topics related to parliamentary action and ways of promoting parliamentary relations were discussed during the meeting.
The parliamentarians expressed their admiration for Qatar’s renaissance and the outstanding organisation of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, wishing the State all success in this hosting.
