DOHA: Punjab Music Group  (PMG) held a function at Skill Development Centre to pay tributes to legendary singer Muhammad Rafi to mark his death anniversary.

Pakistani singer Nasir Abbas was invited to make the function melodious. Proud local talents of Doha, Mahinder Jalandhry, Jashmaid Bajwa, Tanveer Khan and Shahid Khan also performed and regaled the audience.

Managing Director of Golden Ocean Hotel, Madam Kousar Hassan, was the chief guest of the function. She paid homage to legendary singer and underlined that Muhammad Rafi is one of the most popular and successful singer of Indian film industry and subcontinent as well. “Rafi is widely considered to be one of the greatest and most influential singer of this century I will prefer to say,” she added.

 Rafi was notable for his voice, versatility and ability to mould his voice to the persona and style of the actor. “Rafi was very special and the only one who received six Filmfare Awards and one National Film Award and he will remain in our hearts always,” she added.

Madam Kousar highly appreciated the relentless contribution of PMG to serve Doha community and welcomed all guests including Yawar Hussain, Amin Motiwala, Amir Butt and all.
