Doha: The Workers’ Support and Insurance Fund held its first meeting of the Board of Directors yesterday chaired by Minister of Labour and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Workers’ Support and Insurance Fund, H E Dr. Ali bin Smaikh Al Marri, and members of the board of directors.
The meeting discussed several matters on the agenda, which included reviewing Cabinet Resolution No. 2 of 2022, and presenting a report on the website of the Workers’ Support and Insurance Fund, and the available digital services.
The meeting issued a number of decisions and recommendations to ensure the development of the fund’s performance and effectiveness in a way that contributes to enhancing the work environment.
It should be noted that the Workers’ Support and Insurance Fund was established under Law No. (17) of 2018, and in accordance with the provisions of the law, the Fund has a legal personality, aiming to support, secure and care for workers, guarantee their rights and provide a healthy and safe work environment.
