Darfur 'recovering fast after Doha peace deal'

Khartoum: First Vice-President of Sudan General Bakri Hassan Saleh said the Doha Agreement for Peace in Darfur made the region fully recover from the effects of the war.
General Saleh made the statement in Nyala, the capital of South Darfur state.
Saleh said that the unprecedented acceleration of development operations in Darfur has contributed to the establishment of security and stability in the region, strengthened peace and contributed to advancing the Sudanese economy.
The First Vice-President renewed the call for all armed movements to join the process of reconciliation, stressing that the Sudanese government welcomes all returnees to participate in establishing peace.
He also affirmed that Sudan has fulfilled all its commitments regarding the peace process in Darfur through the provision of the necessary support, and the commitment to the roadmap drawn by the Doha Document for Peace in Darfur (DDPD).
