Doha: Residents woke up to partly cloudy skies with scattered rains in most parts of the country. The Qatar Meteorology Department issued a marine warning today for northern areas.
Weather inshore today until 6 pm on Saturday will be moderate temperature during the daytime with scattered clouds and chance of light rain at places and slightly dusty, relatively cold by night, the Department of Meteorology said in its daily weather report.
Offshore, it will be partly cloudy with chance of light rain, the report added, warning of strong wind and high sea at north by noon.
Wind inshore will be variable less than 05 knot at first becoming northwesterly to northeasterly at a speed of 05 to 15 knot reaching 18 knot at places.
Offshore, it will be southeasterly to southwesterly, shifting northwesterly at a speed of 06 to 16 knot later, gusting to 22 knot at north by noon.
Visibility will be 4 to 8 kilometer.
Sea state inshore will be 1 to 2 feet, rising to 2 to 4 feet at north by noon. Offshore, it will be 1 to 3 feet, rising from 3 to 5 feet reaching 7 feet north by noon.
