Action during the Ooredoo Cup Group B match between Al Gharafa and Al Arabi yesterday. The match ended in a one-all draw.
Al Gharafa and Al Arabi played out a 1-1 draw in Round 4 of the 2019-20 Ooredoo Cup at the Al Khor Stadium yesterday.
In yesterday’s Group B clash, the reigning champions Al Gharafa fought back after Hamdi Harbaoui took Al Arabi ahead in the 35th minute. Sofiane Hanni put Al Gharafa on level terms in the 41st minute.
Al Gharafa now have two points and Al Arabi six.
The Cheetahs have not won any match so far and have one draw (2-2 against Al Duhail) to their credit. They lost two matches (0-3 to Qatar SC and 1-3 to Al Khor).
Al Arabi drew 1-1 with Al Khor, defeated Al Sailiya 2-1 and played out a 1-1 draw with Qatar SC in their other games.
Also yesterday, Al Khor maintained their lead in the group and raised their score to 10 points with a 2-1 win against Al Sailiya.
Al Khor took a 2-0 lead early in the first half through Abdullah Al Muraisi and Saeed Ibrahimi in the 5th and 6th minutes before the gap was reduced by Al Sailiya captain Magdy Sidik in the 63rd.
Elsewhere, Brazilian striker Caique Moreno Rodriguez scored a winner for Qatar SC as they overcame Al Duhail 1-0 at Al Wakra Stadium.
Rodriguez scored the goal in the 51st minute.
With this result, Qatar Club increased its score to 10 points and remained in second place on goal difference from first-placed Al Khor, while Al Duhail stopped at two points.
