TAIPEI: Taiwan’s President Ma Ying-jeou yesterday called for greater cultural exchanges with France as he met with former French culture minister Jack Lang. “Engineering projects may make a city and a country bigger, but only culture can make them great,” Ma told Lang according to Taiwan’s Central News Agency.
President Ma said Taiwan and France, which have long maintained close trade, investment and technology exchanges, should take measures to enhance cultural exchanges too.
