A winner with school officials.
Doha, Qatar: Pakistan International School Qatar (PISQ) announced the remarkable achievements of its students in the TNG Inter-School Quran Competition. The event brought together young Quran enthusiasts from various schools across Qatar, providing a platform to celebrate and showcase Quranic knowledge, recitation, and memorization.
Representing PISQ with dedication and excellence, students from both the Boys’ and Primary Wings secured top positions in multiple categories: From the Boys’ Wing: Ayaan Abid (Grade 6-C) – 1st Position in Oracy (Quranic Reflections – 1-Minute Talk). Ali Imtiaz (Grade 6-C) – 2nd Position in Tilawah (Quran Recitation). Muhammad Abu Bakr (Grade 6-A) – 2nd Position in Hifz (Quran Memorization) From the Primary Wing: Ibadullah Muhammad (Grade 4-C) – 3rd Position in Tilawah (Quran Recitation).
These accolades are a testament to the students’ profound connection with the Holy Quran and the unwavering commitment of their teachers to Islamic education. Their performances were met with admiration and earned well-deserved recognition among their peers.
Hafiz Muhammad Ali, Coordinator of Al-Tarbiyah Al-Islamiyah (Boys’ Wing), who accompanied and prepared the participants, expressed his pride in their accomplishments. “It was truly heartening to witness our students presenting the Quran with such clarity and passion. Their achievements reflect their sincerity and the spiritual foundation nurtured at PISQ.”
While the competition was well-organized and enriching, Hafiz Ali noted some constructive feedback regarding the memorization rounds. “Students observed that prompts were often too brief—sometimes only two words—which challenged their ability to contextualize and respond effectively. For future events, a more comprehensive questioning format involving full or paired verses would enhance clarity and fairness.”
PISQ remains committed to promoting Quranic learning and spiritual development among its students.
