DOHA: A criminal court has sentenced an Asian expatriate to six months in jail and fined him QR2,000 for assaulting a policeman, in drunken state and causing nuisance under the influence of alcohol.
The court handed a prison term to the man for assaulting the policeman on duty and fined the convict for drinking and disturbing people.
The convict got drunk and attacked his roommate and injured him. When the roommate went to police and filed a complaint, a policeman was sent to bring the man to police station.
