Pakistan International School (PIS) is set to implement ‘New Academic Development Plan’ from forthcoming academic session starting next month.
“We have designed a new methodology to compete international schools which will be implemented from the new academic session set to start from April 2,” said PIS Principal, Nargis Raza Otho while talking to The Peninsula.
She said that new development primarily revolved around character building of students and would also prepare them for out-of-box thinking.
On availability of vacant seats for admissions in PIS, she said that the school was packed to its capacity. “Though we had to open admissions in March 2017 but we started receiving calls from December last year. As many as 300 applicants are on the waiting list while all vacancies are already filled,” she said.
She said that availability of seats for KG to grade 4 was zero. “We face extra pressure on two grounds: firstly our low fee structures and secondly the quality of education at PIS,” Otho said, adding that currently total number of students at PIS was 3600.
PIS Principal said that the school was not only having students from Pakistani community but was also serving as many as 29 nationalities.
