DOHA: Around 400 people attended in the 2nd Blood Donation Campaign of Bangladesh Quran Sunnah Parishad (BQSP) Qatar, a community organization in Qatar, conducted at Al Arabi Sports Club yesterday.
The event was organised on occasion of 49th Victory Day of Bangladesh in cooperation of Hamad Medical Corporation. The event was organized as part of the Parishad’s regular activities in presence of the Dr. K M Bahavuddeen, the Community Coordinator, Community Policing Department of MOI, Qatar.
The central and divisional representatives of Parishad across Qatar were present on the event presided over by Parishad’s Acting President Jubair Ahmad Chowdhury and directed by Secretary-General Hafiz Mawlana Anwarul Islam at Al Arabi Sports Club, Doha.
Starting with Quran recitation by Hafez Yousuf Chowdhury, a speech with the heading “Four decades of victory: our expectations and achievements” was presented by Kamrul Ahsan. Ahsan in his speech said: “It has been four decades of our victory, yet we have to go a long way for realizing all our dreams. The country is still struggling to eliminate the corruption that has spread its root deep in various public sectors as well as the private.”
He further said: “The prosperity and purity of the society lays on the unity and not on the divisive motive. The time has now come to unite the nation on single platform. The overall well-being and progress of the country lays on self-aware corruption-free accountable leadership. Such leadership is only possible from amongst the people conscious of Allah, aware of their accountability in hereafter and keeping deep devotion in the well being of entire humanity.”
Dr. K M Bahavudddd as chief guest addressed the gathering and praised BQSP for organising such a noble act of humanity and urged them to keep it up. He also also conveyed the gratitude of MOI for the organisers and Bangladesh community as a whole.
