Doha: The students of Loyola International School celebrated Children’s Day Week in a unique manner this year by participating in a blend of online and on-campus activities during their school hours.

India celebrates Children’s Day each year on November 14 to commemorate the birth anniversary of its first Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.

Online activities included a Virtual Treasure Hunt for the Kindergarten students. The exhilaration was palpable as young learners energetically moved from one place to another to reach their treasures. There was a display of tremendous coordination among the family members too as parents joined in spontaneously.

Students of the primary school dressed up as Pandit Nehru and spoke eloquently about him. Inspirational posters and creative collages highlighting Nehru’s contribution were creatively designed by the students. Fun quizzes were organised for the middle school students wherein students were encouraged to think ‘out of the box’ and solve the puzzles creatively.

The Children’s Day Activity Week was yet another endeavour of the school to assimilate learning with joyful co-curricular activities thus providing holistic learning experiences for students to hone their skills and emerge as confident learners.

The activity week was planned and implemented by Activity Coordinators Nisha Senthil and Susanna Paul. Principal Prasad PKV and Vice-Principal Mou Bera commended the students for their participation and effort.
