Doha: The Assistant to the CEO of Dar Al Sharq, Jassim Fakhro (pictured), has said that providing media sponsorship for the Qatar Sustainability Summit 2019 is part of Dar Al Sharq’s continuous efforts in this vital field.
“The Sustainability Summit is an important event locally and regionally as it discussed future issues of sustainability, therefor Dar Al Sharq provided the necessary support and became part of this pioneering system,” said Fakhro while speaking to The Peninsula on the sidelines of Qatar Sustainability Summit 2019 yesterday.
He stressed that Dar Al Sharq has always kept abreast of all developments at the professional and technical levels, pointing out that Dar Al Sharq, under the leadership of Abdullatif Abdullah Al Mahmoud, CEO of Dar Al Sharq Group worked to achieve all the principles of sustainability.
Fakhro highlighted that the summit reflects the extent of the awareness of public and private sector about environmental issues, especially the issues of sustainability, noting that the increase in the number of sponsors of the summit reflects this awareness.
“Today, we have witnessed so many agreements and memorandum of cooperation among many national and international bodies that give a broader understanding of the leading role played by the Qatar in the field of sustainability on international and regional levels.”
He praised the efforts of national institutions to raise awareness of the citizens and residents in Qatar on sustainability standards, pointing Qatar Sustainability Summit is fruits of these efforts. “It must be noted that achieving all sustainability standards requires public-private partnership,” said Fakhro.
