Representatives from some 14 private schools attended a training on national accreditation organised by the Schools Evaluation Department of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education recently.

The workshop was held at the Evaluation Institute auditorium. The schools had successfully passed the first phase of evaluation to obtain the national accreditation in accordance with the Qatar National School Accreditation (QNSA) system.

The training workshop was conducted by school evaluation specialists from the Ministry with the aim of training the schools on how to accomplish the procedures required for national accreditation.

The aim of the workshop was to ensure that the schools have full understanding of the procedures and overall steps to ensure that they meet the criteria to achieve full QNSA status.

This included training on how to prepare a quality self-study, raising awareness on the importance of stakeholder involvement and understanding the standards and procedures of the QNSA process.

At the beginning of the training workshop, Omar Al Naama, Director of the Schools Evaluation Department, lauded the schools for their commitment to the school accreditation process by successfully passing the Stage 1 process and wished the school success in the next stage.

Al Naama urged the schools to spare no efforts to achieve high quality and performance standards with a view to providing outstanding learning opportunities for all students.
