QNA

Cairo: The State of Qatar, represented by the Ministries of Justice and Interior, took part in the fifth meeting of the joint committee of experts and representatives from Arab states' justice and interior ministries and relevant authorities to review a draft Arab guiding law protecting children from recruitment in armed conflicts.

The meeting concluded on Wednesday at the Arab League's general secretariat in Cairo.

Over three days, participants discussed the provisions of the draft law in preparation for presenting it to the next session of the Council of Arab Justice Ministers, scheduled for November.

The meeting was held in line with a decision adopted by the Council of Arab Justice Ministers at its 41st session, which called for another round of discussions by the joint committee of experts and representatives from Arab states' justice and interior ministries and relevant authorities to study the draft legislation.
