As part of Qatar Digital Government Excellence Awards 2020, the Ministry of Education and Higher Education has won the Golden Award for the best digital service ‘Registration and Transfer of Students’. The Ministry was awarded as the best government entity that provides an integrated and distinguished public digital service with the highest quality.
The Award aimed at promoting electronic services, and urging government agencies to develop them by spreading the spirit of competition to achieve excellence and reach the highest quality standards through various electronic services.
Commenting on this achievement, Tariq Abdul Hamid Al Emadi, Director of Information Systems Department at the Ministry of Education expressed his pride and happiness in winning the award and achieving the Golden Award which indicates to the quality of the systems that the Ministry is developing and presenting to the public.
“This is an achievement that would not have been possible without the continuous support and constant follow-up from the ministry’s directors, headed by H E the Minister, and this award will urge us for more work and excellence,” he said. Al Emadi also said that the ‘Registration and Transfer of Students’ service allowed parents to complete the process of registering and transferring their kids within public schools smoothly and flexibly without the need for traditional procedures.
For his part Ridwan Manham, Head of Applications Section at the Information Systems Department at the Ministry of Education noted about the importance of this award as it is obtained in accordance with strict criteria, by which performance is evaluated by international and local experts involved in the field of information technology.
He also thanked his team and other teams working in the Information Systems Department for their work dedication.
