Doha: The Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Qatar announces the launch of a Visa Application Centre for applicants in Doha, in partnership with VFS Global. Travellers can now apply for visas to the Netherlands by submitting their application and enrolling biometrics at the Visa Application Centre located at 1st Floor, (103) Abdul Jaleel Business Center, Airport Road, Al Matar Street, Doha, Qatar. Services at this centre commenced on 06 November 2016.

Visitors can also apply for a Caribbean visa at this centre if they are planning a short stay in the Caribbean parts of the Netherlands, such as Aruba, Curaçao, St Maarten, and the Caribbean Netherlands (Bonaire, St Eustatius and Saba).

Apart from being centrally located in the commercial district of Qatar, the Visa Application Centre is easily accessible via public transport and has ample parking space around the facility.

The centre is spacious enough to easily accommodate applicants during peak season, and offers dedicated Premium Lounge where applicants can enjoy exclusive, personalised services.

Speaking about the launch, Dr Bahia Tahzib-Lie, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Qatar, said: “I am happy to see the steady increase of visitors from Qatar travelling to the Netherlands. It clearly shows the growing interest of people to discover the wonderful and unique sights and experiences for tourism in my country. It also signifies exciting new business opportunities.

Many are visiting Amsterdam, The Hague, Gouda, Rotterdam and other beautiful places. Some try cycling or skating for the first time in their lives. But many also connect via Schiphol airport to other places in the world, especially now with two daily flights from Doha to Amsterdam.

The opening of the Visa Application Centre at VFS will allow a greater number of people in Qatar to get their visa to the Netherlands efficiently and with great, professional service. The global partnership between the Netherlands and VFS is successful and appreciated and I am pleased to celebrate the launch of the Visa Application Centre in Doha together.”

Commenting on the launch, Srinarayan Sankaran, COO – Middle East, VFS Global, said: “We are pleased to extend our service network for the esteemed Government of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Qatar. We are committed to continue offering the same best-in-class standards of professionalism and service quality that are the hallmark of our operations worldwide, to travellers from Qatar.”
