Cabinet nod for formation of tenders committee

Doha: The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs H E Ahmed bin Abdullah bin Zaid Al Mahmoud chaired yesterday the Cabinet meeting yesterday. Al Mahmoud said the Cabinet reviewed topics on the agenda, taking a set of decisions and measures.
The Cabinet approved a draft Cabinet decision on the formation of a committee for tenders at the Ministry of Youth and Sports. The committee shall assume the powers of the committees of the central and local tenders, stipulated in the law regulating tenders and auctions promulgated by Law No. (26) for the year 2005, in respect of tenders and auctions related to the ministry.
It approved a draft decision to form a committee for tenders at the Ministry of Transport. The cabinet also approved a proposal by Minister of Energy and Industry on modifying the formation of the water resources permanent committee.
The meeting agreed a draft memorandum of understanding with the government of Algeria in the field of export development and approved a draft agreement in the field of air services with Mexico.
The cabinet reviewed amending some provisions of Qatar Financial Center Law No. 7 of 2005. It also discussed a report by the head of the Tax Appeal Committee of the Ministry of Finance, reviewing the committee’s work in the first six months of 2014. The committee reviewed 35 complaints and produced 16 reports. The cabinet discussed a report by the Ministry of Transport on the outcomes of the 27th session of Arab Transport Ministers’ Council held in Alexandria last month.
