Qatar Stock drops 180.30 points

DOHA: Qatar Stock Index (QSE) fell 180.30 points (1.45 percent) when the bourse closed trading at 12,228.83 points here Wednesday compared to 12,409.13 on Tuesday.

The market capitalization decreased to QR649.40bn today from QR658.77bn registered Tuesday.

The traded value increased to QR841.89m with a volume of 23,699,187 shares from 7,862 transactions compared with QR535.46m with a volume of 13,853,332 shares from 6,190 transactions on Tuesday.

Transportation sector index gained today, up 0.10 percent to 2,440.02 points while Real Estate index fell the most by 2.14 percent to 2,944.08 points.

QSE Total Return Index down 1.45 percent (19,004.24 points). QSE Al Rayan Islamic Index dropped 1.44 percent (4,651.92 points) and QSE All Share Index down 1.41 percent (3,259.39 points).

Shares of all 43 listed companies saw trading today. From these three advanced, 36 declined and four remained unchanged.
