Doha: Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage H E Dr Hamad bin Abdulaziz Al Kuwari yesterday left for Paris leading a delegation to a formal meeting of Qatari-French Joint Cultural Committee, at the invitation of French Minister of Culture and Communication Fleur Pellerin.
The panel was formed within the framework a cultural agreement during the visit of Emir
H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to France last year.
The delegation includes representatives from Qatar Museums, Cultural Village Katara and Qatar National Library.
Doha: Qatar will host on Sunday for the first time a meeting of the higher consultative authority of Arab Towns Organisation with the participation of city officials.
Invited member cities include Beirut Municipality, Cairo Governorate, Constantine Municipality, Kuwait Municipality, Baghdad Mayoralty, Rabat Municipality, Riyadh Region, Dubai Municipality, Muscat Municipality, Manama Secretariat and Greater Amman Municipality. The meeting coincides with 12th ATO awards.
