Doha: The Health Monitoring Section at Doha Municipality conducted inspection campaigns on outlets selling sweets and nuts used to celebrate Garangao.
Garangao is a tradition festival that is widely celebrated by children across Qatar and the Gulf region in the middle of Ramadan.So far, the municipal inspectors seized five kilograms expired confectionery during the inspection campaigns.
The seized times were destroyed immediately and the violation was recorded.The Health Monitoring Section at Doha Municipality made 1,433 inspection visits on food outlets across Doha and Industrial Area since the beginning of Ramadan until now.
The inspectors recorded 65 violations and shutdown 10 food outlets for violating health rules during the inspection campaigns.
