Teatime FC lift title in VAQ football tournament

Teatime FC has become the champions in ninth MBM-VAQ Football Tournament beating United Kerala 1-0. Nasar scored the goal in the penalty.

Satheeshan of Teatime FC won the best player award while Jaseem TK of United Kerala bagged the best goalkeeper award. Genius REC Calicut won the fairplay award. Saleem of Mates Qatar was selected as the best team manager.

Trophies were distributed to United Kerala and Qatar Masters who were respectively the Champions and Runners-up of Masters Cup held earlier. Jamshi of United Kerala was the top-scorer.

As a gesture of honour towards Indian community, the Asia Cup Trophy won by Qatar was displayed during the final. ‘One Man Show’ by artist Nizam Calicut Edappal and Udayan’s Sand Art Show, that showcased the history of Qatar on sand, won appreciation from the audience.

The event was inaugurated by Lt Abdullah Durwish Abbas Ashkanani in the presence of Public Relations Officer Lt Mubarak Sharida Al Muthlak and Community Reach Out Office Coordinator  Faizal Hudawi.

ISC President Nilangshu Dey and Suhail Bukhari addressed the audience. ICC President Manikantan released the VAQ Magazine by handing it over to Gangadharan.

Muhammed Naseer (CEO of MBM Trasnsport), Habibun Nabi (Secretary, ISC), Sharaf P Hameed (Vice-President, ISC), Safeer (Director, Zaitun Restaurant) distributed trophies. Suhail Konnakkod (President, VAQ), presided over the event.

Ashraf TP (Convenor, Tournament Committee) delivered the welcome speech and Shajahan TK (Secratery, VAQ) gave a vote of thanks. Haidarali (General secratery, QIFF) , Adv Jafer Khan ( ICC) and other personalities from social-cultural fields also attended.
