DOHA: Hamad bin Khalifa University’s (HBKU) Test Centre is offering students the opportunity to take the EXPLORE, PLAN and PSSS tests to help prepare them for university admission process as early as possible.
The tests were designed for students to gain a better understanding of standardised tests such as SAT and ACT, required for admission into HBKU’s partner universities.
HBKU’s Test Centre aims to encourage all students to take part in these tests as it is a great opportunity for them to be exposed to and prepared for standardised testing at a young age.
EXPLORE is a pre-ACT assessment and career inventory for Grade 8 and 9 students, while PLAN is a similar test for Grade 10 students.
The PSSS, an examination developed by the College Board, helps prepare Grade 10 students for SAT.
Both exams are officially scored by test companies and students who take these tests will receive their results with extensive feedback and advice on preparation.
The HBKU Test Centre will offer three tests throughout March and April.
Dates for EXPLORE tests are April 1, April 11 and April 20.
Dates for PLAN test are March 2, March 7, March 9 and March 20.
Dates for the PSSS test are March 2, March 7, March 9, and March 20.
In addition to test administration, Test Centre also provides individual advice for students and parents interested in a more tailored and personalised session that explains university testing and its role in the university admission process.
To register for one of the above early test dates, students can contact [email protected] or register in person by visiting the Test Centre every Monday and Wednesday between 11am and 2pm.
