MES Indian School commemorates 71st Republic Day of India

MES Indian School commemorated the 71st Republic Day of India with all its solemnity and grandeur at the KG Auditorium yesterday. 

Splendid patriotic songs, group dances and tableau depicting the cultural integrity and harmony of the country were rendered by the students to highlight the importance of the day. 

The chief guest of the day, President of MES Governing Body B M Sidhique hoisted the Indian national flag which was followed by the National Anthem rendered by the school choir.

“It is due to the struggles underwent by the freedom fighters and by their ultimate sacrifice for the welfare of free India, our country has flourished in the international arena,” remarked the Chief Guest while addressing the gathering. P K Mohammed, General Secretary, MES Governing Body was the Guest of Honour.

Speaking on the occasion, the school Principal, Hameeda Kadar, urged the youth to assume a more responsible role in upholding the pride and glory of mother nation and to fructify the dreams of visionary leaders. 

Master Dhananjay Gaur, the Head Boy, read the Preamble of the Constitution of India as the gathering repeated the same. The school choir sang the patriotic song ‘kudarat ka kamaal’ lyrics written by Rajendran S, Department of Hindi and composed by the music teacher, Anver VP.

The school Scouts & Guides, members of Campus Care Force (CCF) and the students of Junior, Boys’ and Girls’ Sections waved the Indian national flag enthusiastically with patriotic zest and fervour, thus spreading the message of peace and harmony as the entire campus came alive with the spirit of patriotism.

Among other dignitaries, K Abdul Karim, Senior Vice-President; Kashif Jaleel, Vice-President; Khaleel A P; M C Muhamed; M P Saleem, Directors of MES Governing Body, school officials, parents, well-wishers, teachers and students witnessed the day’s programme. 

Nandhini Rajagopal, Asst Head Girl, welcomed the gathering and Anushka of Grade X proposed a vote of thanks. Rajendran, Cultural Coordinator of the school coordinated the event.
