DOHA: Qatar National Cement Company has announced a net profit of QR 436 million for the year ended December 31, 2013.
The company had reported a net profit of QR 425.3 million for the year ended December 31, 2012, according to a Qatar Exchange notification.
The company, with a share capital of 491 million as of 2012, has reported an EPS (earnings per share) of QR 8.88 in 2013 compared to QR 8.66 in 2012.
The company's Board of Directors have proposed to the general assembly the distribution of cash dividend of QR 6 per share representing 60 percent of the nominal value of the share.
The Qatari cement giant is on an expansion drive with plans underway for the construction of its fifth plant at Umm Bab with a capacity of 7.5 thousand tons of clinker per day.
