DOHA: Strong northwesterly winds are expected to lash the country beginning tomorrow, causing a major drop in temperature, the Meteorology Department said yesterday.

There are also chances of scattered rains on Wednesday and Thursday, said the department.

All parts of the country would be affected by strong winds that could bring down temperature to as low as 15 degrees Celsius at times.

The minimum and maximum temperatures during the period would hover between 15-18 degrees Celsius and  23-26 degrees Celsius, said the department.

Meanwhile the Department has forecast thunderstorms in some parts of the country today, especially the offshore areas. Temperature in Doha today is expected to hover between 23 degrees Celsius and 31 degrees Celsius.
