SIS holds awareness programme on safety and first aid

Health & Wellness Club of Shantiniketan Indian School (SIS) organised a two-day awareness programme on Safety & First Aid recently. A team of professionals from the Training Unit of Hamad Medical Corporation enlightened the students by demonstrating and explaining the safety measures and first aid procedure in various situations. The Kulluna programme and workshop on first aid and safety programme took place in two venues.
The welcome address was given by the Health Club Coordinator, Liji Fernandez. Later professionals from HMC took a class on the significance of first aid and on the procedure involved. Further the professionals demonstrated the first aid procedure to be followed in case of emergency. Two hundred students of Standard IX and X attended the session.  
The “Kulluna-Safety for all” programme was carried out in a caravan where the professionals explained and demonstrated the vulnerable conditions inside the house and the different methods to avoid occurrence of such accidents. It was a two-day programme attended by 300 students of standard VII and VIII. The programme was concluded by the vote of thanks by Tanveer Mehdi.
