Commander of the Qatari Amiri Naval Forces, H E Major General (Navy) Abdullah bin Hassan Al Sulaiti, accompanied by Turkish Naval Forces Commander Admiral Adnan Özbal, launched the Qatari warship Al Abrar Fuwairit (type LCT80) in Istanbul, Turkey, yesterday.
The ceremony was attended by Brigadier General Mohammed Rashid Al Awami, Qatar's military attache in Ankara; senior officials of Barzan Holdings and Turkish Anadolu Shipyard Company; and a number of senior officers from the Qatari and Turkish sides.
