DOHA: TPP Middle East, the innovative health software provider, has signed a collaboration agreement with Integrated Intelligence Services (IIS) to deliver the integrated electronic records software — SystmOne to the private healthcare sector across Qatar. The project, which is due to roll out over a five year period, is the first of its kind in the country and is valued at is valued QR102m.
In line with Qatar’s vision 2030 to establish a more advanced healthcare system, the project will see TPP Middle East deliver the SystmOne clinical system to approximately 300 primary care sites across Qatar. The system will allow for an integrated electronic medical record to be shared across the country, resulting in the standardisation of patient’s data, whilst also ensuring all patient information is collected more routinely.
The collaboration comes as the Middle East continues to increase its investment in the digital healthcare sector. The GCC healthcare market alone is currently projected to grow at an annual rate of 12 percent, with Qatar’s spending on healthcare expected to double to $8.8bn by the year 2020. The GCC is a key target market for TPP, particularly as the region is witnessing a rise in lifestyle illnesses such as diabetes and obesity, with 42 percent of adults in Qatar being obese — the highest rate in the Middle East.
The signing is the first major contract win for TPP’s Middle Eastern offshoot; the company has been working in the region for three years alongside the region’s embassies, as well as Healthcare UK.

Adnan Jawad, CEO of IIS, said: “The Qatar National Vision clearly shows that the future of healthcare is those who can provide sustainable, high quality and integrated care to patients. In line with our mission to support our partners to achieve this vision, we are confident this agreement will help pave the way for a more advanced healthcare system in Qatar.”
