Geneva: Minister of Public Health H E Dr Hanan Mohamed Al Kuwari, met separately on the sidelines of the 75th World Health Assembly currently being held in Geneva, with Minister of Health of Palestine, H E Dr. Mai Al Kaila; Minister of Health of Sudan H E Dr. Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim; Minister of Health of Mauritania, HE Dr. Mohamed Nedhirou Hamed; Minister of Health of New Zealand, H E Andrew Little; and Minister of Health of Cuba, H E Dr. Jose Angel Portal Miranda.
The Minister also met separately with Head of the Secretariat of the WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control Dr. Adriana Blanco Marquizo; Director of the Polio Eradication Program at WHO Aidan OLeary; and Co-Chair of the Global Polio Partners Group and Permanent Representative of Luxembourg to the United Nations Office in Geneva, Marc Bichler.
During the meetings, bilateral relations in various health fields were reviewed, as well as urgent healthcare priorities in the region and the world, and efforts being made to improve health care services for all.
