DOHA: The Mall of Qatar (MOQ), will make its debut next week at Cityscape Qatar which is taking place between May 27 and May 29 at the Doha Exhibition Centre.
A launch ceremony will be held at the Mall of Qatar exhibition stand V20 on Wednesday May 27 following the official opening of the CityScape exhibition to the public.
An interactive scale model of the Mall will be unveiled at the event that comes just days after the Mall was officially launched at a press conference outlining plans to create ‘the place to be’ that will become one of the region’s leading shopping and leisure destinations.
The Mall’s leasing partner Macarthur + Company, the world renowned retail specialists, will also be officially launching its leasing campaign at Cityscape, using the event to meet retailers and brief prospective tenants on how they can take up the fantastic opportunity the Mall of Qatar presents.’
Construction work is already under way and the Mall is scheduled to open in the third quarter of 2015 providing over 400 shops, 7,000 parking spaces, a major hypermarket, five department stores, 20 international restaurants and an indoor streetscape with double height flagship stores from across the globe. The Mall anticipates attracting over 20 million visitors in its first year of operations.
Conveniently located at the intersection of Al Rayyan Highway and Celebration Road, the project is adjacent to the popular Al Rayyan Sports Club and a future FIFA 2022 World Cup Stadium.
