QF organises online Ramadan activities

Doha: Throughout the holy month of Ramadan, Qatar Foundation (QF) is offering a host of online events for the  community to participate in from their homes.

The Education City Mosque has organised a host of special online events and activities for people of all ages. 

In the Prophetic Biography Series, public can learn about the life of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) from Sheikh Yahya Al Naimi through daily videos posted on the Education City Mosque’s social media platforms. 

In Al-Saa’im Al-Sagheer 2020, children aged 6-12 are welcome to participate in this program. Document your children doing a good deed and post it on social media to inspire others. 

Webinars with Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Harami will address different verses of the Holy Qur’an and discuss its connection to our daily lives. These will take place every day at 4.30pm during Ramadan. More details are available here. 

Listen and participate in live interviews with distinguished community figures from various fields, and learn more about the role the Qur’an has played in their lives. These will take place every two days during Ramadan, from 10am-11pm.

Khalifa Essa Al Kubaisi, Manager of Media Relations and Press Office, Qatar Foundation, said: “The Holy Month of Ramadan is a time for reflection, for connecting with ourselves, and for enriching our minds and souls through knowledge and mindfulness – something that is even more important than ever amid the unprecedented challenges our world is currently living through.

 “Throughout Ramadan, Qatar Foundation is offering a host of online events and activities for the entire community of Qatar to participate in from their own homes, and we invite people of all ages and cultures to explore them and benefit from them.

 “While we may be physically apart, Ramadan brings us together through the power of faith and unity, and the events and activities that Qatar Foundation is providing reflect the true spirit of this special time. We wish everyone in Qatar, and beyond, a peaceful, uplifting, and healthy Ramadan.”  Ramadan events and activities organised by Qatar Foundation also include, daily Question and Answer Quiz – Qur’anic Botanic Garden.    Online Garangao Session will be held on May 6 and  Online Eid Al Fitr Session will be held on May 20.

Throughout Ramadan and until May 31,  weekly interactive meetings will be held at the Qur’anic Botanic Garden Library. Throughout Ramadan and until June 17, weekly interactive tours of the Qur’anic Botanic Garden Nursery.
