Katara opens Qatar History and Identity exhibition

Doha, Qatar: The General Manager of the Cultural Village Foundation (Katara) Dr. Khalid bin Ibrahim Al Sulaiti opened today the Qatar History and Identity exhibition, organized by Katara in collaboration with Qatar Preparatory School for Girls, in the presence of a number of ambassadors accredited to State of Qatar and those interested in cultural and educational affairs.

The exhibition will continue until Thursday at the Creative Square between buildings 15 and 16. It features 63 artworks created by students from 30 schools, expressing Qatar's heritage and national identity.

The exhibition aims to highlight Qatar's rich history and enhance pride in national identity through artworks that reflect the customs and traditions that have shaped Qatari society.

In his speech during the opening, Dr. Khalid bin Ibrahim Al Sulaiti expressed Katara's keenness to support school talents, pointing out the importance of encouraging students to express their connection to their homeland through arts and culture.

He also commended the role of the exhibition in enhancing awareness of Qatars history and consolidating national identity among the younger generations, praising the fruitful partnership between Katara and educational institutions in supporting cultural and educational activities.

The exhibition is a unique opportunity for visitors to explore students creativity and learn about their artistic vision of Qatari heritage, in an atmosphere that celebrates culture, art and creativity.
