Doha: The General Directorate of Traffic seized a vehicle and its driver for riding on the bicycle lane.
Following a video circulated on social media of the vehicle in cycle lane, the traffic department stated that action has been taken against this traffic law violation.
The department stated, "With reference to what was circulated on social media of a vehicle driver who was driving in the lane designated for bicycles, the vehicle and its driver have been seized and legal measures are being taken against him."
The country has adopted various safety measures, because of which road traffic accidents have declined. It has also installed traffic radars at various places to ensure traffic law compliance among motorists.
The ministry reminds the public to adhere to traffic rules to ensure road safety and reduce accidents.
