KUALA LUMPUR: Tennis star Caroline Wozniacki appeared to pour cold water yesterday on speculation she would walk down the aisle soon with her boyfriend, golf’s world number one Rory McIlroy.
“I think that question will be for him to answer,” the Dane told reporters in Kuala Lumpur, where she is top seed in the BMW Malaysian Open.
“I enjoy everything that’s happening right now and how things are. Marriage? We’re still young and we have many years in front of us.”
Wozniacki, a 22-year-old former tennis world number one, fuelled speculation of wedding plans when she was spotted in December wearing a large ring on her right ring finger.
But she has repeatedly denied she and the 23-year-old Northern Irishman were engaged. When asked if she would accept now if McIlroy proposed, she burst into laughter, saying: “This is getting personal.”AFP
