Doha: The Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani yesterday endorsed Cabinet decision No. 71 of 2014 re-forming the Committee of Trustees of the State Encouragement Award. According to the decision the committee is to be re-formed under the chairmanship of the Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage H E Dr. Hamad bin Abdul Aziz Al Kuwari.
Dr Ibrahim Saleh Al Nuaimi will be the Deputy Chairman. The other committee members include Dr Aisha Youssuf Al Mannai, Dr Al-Harith Mohamed Al Khater, Dr Hassan Ibrahim Al Muhannadi, Dr Hamda Hassan Abdurrahman Abu Tha’in Al Sulaiti and Dr. Ahmed Abdullah Al Al Sheikh Al Kuwari. The Emir’s decision annulled Cabinet decision No. 5 of 2011. The decision shall go into effect as of the second day of its publication in the official gazette.
Doha: The Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani yesterday endorsed Cabinet decision No. 70 of 2014 enforcing provisions of law No. 24 of 2002 on retirement and pensions of Qatari employees at the Qatar Foundation for Social Work as of 5.8.2013. The decision shall go into effect from the date of issue and is to be published in the official gazette.
New envoy to Sweden
Doha: The Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani yesterday issued Emiri decision No. 87 of 2014 appointing Hamad Mohammed Mubarak Nasser Al Khalifa as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Kingdom of Sweden. The law is effective starting from its date of execution. It is to be published in the official gazette. QNA
