Doha, Qatar: A round of bilateral talks was held in the city of Canberra in Australia on October 24-25, 2023, between Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA) and the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA), represented by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, in accordance with Article (16) of the Air Services Agreement between the two countries.
The Qatari side was headed by Mohamed Faleh Al-Hajri, In charge of managing QCAA, while the Australian side by Jim Wolfe, Assistant Secretary, International Aviation, Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications and the Arts.
During the talks, they discussed matters of common interest in the field of air transport, most notably increasing capacity and flights between the two countries. They agreed to continue discussions and further develop relations between them, including cooperation in the field of environment and sustainability.
