Qatar's Fares Ibrahim Hassouna in action during the 2019 World Weightlifting Championships in Pattaya, Thailand. The Qatari won two silver medals in the 96kg weight class, lifting 178kg in snatch and 224kg in the clean and jerk to make it a total of 402kg.
China's Tian Tao won the gold medal as Grorgia's Pliesnoi finished third behind Hassouna. A total of 606 weightlifters from 100 nations take part in the competiton which concludes on September 27.
