Cairo:
The Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani left Cairo, Egypt this afternoon after an official visit. Amir heads to Oran at the invitation of the President of Algeria HE Abdelmajid Tebboune to attend the opening ceremony of the 19th Mediterranean Games 2022.
HH the Amir and the accompanying delegation were seen off at Cairo International Airport by President Egypt HE Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
HH the Amir and the accompanying delegation were also seen off by Ambassador of Qatar to Egypt HE Salem bin Mubarak Al Shafi and Ambassador of Egypt to Qatar HE Amr El-Sherbini.
HH the Amir sent a cable to Egyptian President, in which he expressed his thanks and appreciation for the hospitality and warm welcome that were accorded to him and the accompanying delegation during their visit to Egypt, which provided an opportunity to exchange views on matters and issues of interest to the two countries, in addition to the support and enhancing of the strong ties between the two countries for the good and interest of the people, His Highness wished the Egyptian President good health and wellness and Egyptian people further progress and prosperity.
HH the Amir was accompanied, during the visit, by the Personal Representative of HH the Amir HH Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al-Thani and an official delegation.
